Talking about Woman indicted in MySpace suicide case

Quote

**FILE** In this Monday, Nov. 19, 2007 file photo, Tina Meier holds
two pictures of her daughter Megan who committed suicide last October
after receiving cruel messages on MySpace, in St. Charles, Mo. A federal
grand jury in Los Angeles on Thursday, May 15, 2008, indicted a Missouri
woman, Lori Drew of suburban St. Louis for her alleged role in
perpetrating a hoax on the online social network MySpace against Megan
Meier. ( AP Photo/Tom Gannam, File)A Los Angeles federal grand jury indicted a Missouri woman on Thursday over an alleged role in a MySpace online hoax played on a 13-year-old girl who committed suicide.

This story is extremely sad on many levels. I have to hand out three individual fails to the people involved with this story.

My first fail goes out to the woman who created the false MySpace page and tormented the little girl. Honestly, how old are you? You should have known way better to prey on the unbalanced emotions of a 13-year-old girl. Thats childish and petty you're an idiot. You, obviously batty old lady, fail.

My second fail goes out to the parents of this young girl. I'm putting the child's death on their shoulders. Its their fault for raising such a weak child who figured the only way to deal with her life was to end it. A lot of people have problems and a lot of people get teased; but they still wake up every morning and get through th day. he parents should have noticed signs of their daughters depression and done something before it got to the point it did. The parents, unfortunately, failed.

My last fail goes out to the asinine charges being put on the Mother accussed. Honestly, "conspiracy" and "accessing protected computers without authorization to get information" ? Any information that someone displays on the internet for all to see is public information in my opinion. Since the 'net has been accessible to the public it has been preached time and time again to watch what you say and who you say it to. These charges are, obviously, just being used to bring publicity to the case.

If this seems at all harsh in anyway then I'm sorry; but there are more ruthless things going on around the world as we speak. One girls death, in the large aspect of things, isn't going to change much but hopefully her story will persuade parents to start taking a keen interest on what their kids are doing for those 4+ hours online.

America's Idol?

Remember that Justin guy from the first American Idol? How come so many people voted for him but nobody but his album? Last time I saw him on tv he was on the hosting something on the TV guide. Some star. Point being, American Idol is a joke and 98% of its contestants have no talent.

I hear its having its lowest viewer numbers ever so hopefully people are wising up.

Sick of Linux FanBoys and Vista Bashers

 vista_xp
Remember when everyone hated xp because it:

a) was too "pretty" with its useless bubbly theme and sounds
b) the installation was too large
c) was a memory pig needing way more RAM than windows 2000 did
d) was too buggy

Its funny how people forgot about how much they were bashing xp when it first came out and now it’s the greatest version of windows. Even funnier how these are the same complaints they have about vista.

remember these charts? "linux>win2000>xp"

Get over it and adapt. Every new operating system requires new hardware, so stop being cheap asses. Even ubuntu is a much bigger OS than it was a few years ago
